I am Robert Bear Claw.

I am the most fortunate man I know. I have had the great privilege and honor of being able to perform Honoring ceremonies at sacred sites across the globe. On this site is a partial record of the many Honorings that I have had the opportunity to perform.

However...

Several non-Native individuals have criticized me for not behaving as a good ‘traditional’ Native American should. There have also been Native Americans who have also criticized me for not behaving as a good ‘Bear Warrior’ should. My apologies but I will not yield to the rules of behavior dictated by non-Natives or by the rules of another Bear Warrior society. They do not apply to me. Any and all ceremonies that I have performed are uniquely of my own creation and of my performance. I have not used any ceremony peculiar to any society. In short, I am an individual, a human being living my life in pursuit of the ‘Fire’ and the ‘Wisdoms’ of Life. And since I do not hold myself answerable to any society or group, nor to any religion or faith, I am proud to proclaim myself as a ‘Renegade’, one who follows his own path.
